Hall and Woodhouse announce their Pub of the Year!

The Chestnut Horse in Easton, Winchester has won the prestigious award of Pub of the Year 2009 in the Hall and Woodhouse Tenanted Awards. The award, sponsored by Diageo GB saw licensee Karen Wells and her team win £1,000 as well as a two day break.

Last night, Hall and Woodhouse hosted a Gala Dinner for their business partners. The winners of seven categories were announced recognising achievements above and beyond expectations.

A delighted Karen said “The team at The Chestnut are absolutely elated with the award and I don't doubt that it will be a great booster to get us through December!! We are a very young but committed team, winning an award like this reiterates to us all that the hard work is worth it and that they as individuals are being recognised for their success”

Best Community Pub – The Plough, Ifield, Florence and Andrew Simpson and John Scudder
