Hallmark Pubs
We are proud of the excellence that our best pubs show and we have a tailored accreditation scheme which awards these businesses 'Hallmark' status.
This scheme is conducted by Mark Woodhouse, Chairman of Hall and Woodhouse. The scheme aims to recognise and reward excellent customer service/experience. Pubs are scored against a judging criteria over a variety of categories.
Pubs that are awarded the Hallmark receive a 'Golden Badger' which is positioned above their external signage. A certificate will also be provided to be displayed in the pub and the team will receive badges promoting the Hallmark award.
Aside from the recognition, the benefits of being a Hallmark pub include being given, for free, an annual consumer behaviour and satisfaction survey. This involves an external company visiting your pub and interviewing customers about their experience. We employ this technique across our managed estate to great effect and it really does help pubs improve. Hallmark pubs can also take advantage of other benefits such as a free annual subscription to Pub Explorer, which is the UK's most popular online search facility for pubs.
